Cleveland, OH – May 7, 2012 – Card set for historic night at “BATTLE IN THE BALLROOM VI” this Friday. Mother-Son to fight on same show, plus exciting 10-bout card scheduled.

For the first-time anywhere in the history of USA Boxing, the evening will see a mother and son fight on the same card, when Gia Genco-Brown and Vincent Brown step into the ring to become the first ever mother and son to fight on the same show!

Mother Gia Genco-Brown of Cleveland will meet up with Angel Francisco of Louisville, KY in a women’s bout. Son Vincent Brown will face Devonerce Mccullough of Cleveland in a preliminary high-school bout. Both are newcomers to the sport, trained and coached out of Bill Godhard’s West Side Boxing Club.

Greg Gilbert (WSBC/Norwalk) meets up with E. Michigan Golden Glove Champion Lawrence King (ABAA/Bay City, MI) in a 132-pound scrap. Gilbert has earned a reputation for his toughness and bringing his exciting “ALL-ACTION” style to the ring.

An intriguing heavyweight bout between boxer Alante Green (Empire BC/Cleveland) and mixed martial artist Jeff Hughes (Evolve MMA/Canton) is also on tap.

This historic 10-bout card will take place at a fitting location, the “Historic” Slovenian Nat’l Ballroom. Built by immigrants in 1924, it was designated a Cleveland landmark in 1984.

“The “Historic” Slovenian Nat’l Ballroom is an amazing venue to showcase Cleveland’s top talent and we’re thrilled to be back for this historic event. The crowd is electrifying, and the intimacy of the venue makes everyone feel a part of the show,” said Kincaid.

Doors on the evening of the event will open at 6:30PM with the first bell at 7:30PM. The “Historic” Slovenian Nat’l Ballroom is located at 6417 St. Clair Ave. in Cleveland, Ohio.

A limited number of tickets for “BATTLE IN THE BALLROOM VI”, starting at $20, can be purchased through the Kincaid-Godhard Promotions box office at 440-223-7409 or online at www.ProBoxingOhio.com.
